Philadelphia -- From exploding dutch ovens, to shattering fireplaces, to onions contaminated with Salmonella, here are the latest food and consumer product recalls over the last two weeks.
August 1st
Thomson International Inc. Onions
Thomson International Inc. is recalling its red, yellow, white, and sweet yellow onions shipped from May 1, 2020, through today because of potential Salmonella contamination.
If you’ve purchased these onions or food products containing onions from Thomson International Inc., you should not eat, sell or serve them. Throw them out and disinfect any surface they came in contact with.

SmithFoods Inc. Earth Grown Vegan Non-Dairy Almond Based Frozen Desserts
SmithFoods Inc. is recalling its Earth Grown Vegan Non-Dairy Almond Based Frozen Desserts because they may contain an undeclared cashew allergen. There has been one report of an allergic reaction.

Miles Industries is recalling about 370 units of its Valor H5 gas fireplaces because delayed ignition can cause gas to accumulate in the fireplace. When the fire is ignited, the glass may shatter, posing burn and laceration hazards.

Triangle Tube is recalling about 63,000 units of its Prestige Solo & Prestige Excellence condensing gas boilers because flue gas can escape the boilers if the vent adapter is not securely reattached after repairs or maintenance. This poses a threat of carbon monoxide poisoning.
